Who it fitsAnd who it does not

One wavelength that turns nobody away

1,064 nm is absorbed less by epidermal melanin than shorter wavelengths and reaches deeper, which is how one wavelength carries hair removal, vascular work and deep-dermal heating. What it does not do is make parameter selection somebody else's job.

one wavelength, three service lines. Nobody gets turned away for skin type.

Best fit

Practices that treat the whole Fitzpatrick range

  • Your patient base spans all skin types and you do not want to route anyone to a second console.
  • You want three service lines off one wavelength: hair removal, vascular lesions, and deep-dermal rejuvenation.
  • You want the 5-15/LT® deep bulk-heating handpiece, which is exclusive to this chassis and carries live temperature monitoring.
  • You already run an Etherea-MX or a ZYE ALX: this console takes all eight Etherea handpieces too.
Watch for

What this platform does not settle for you

  • No FDA clearance is claimed on this page for the ZYE YAG. Treatments listed describe how licensed providers use the platform, not cleared indications — verify current regulatory status with the manufacturer before purchase.
  • Choosing the wavelength is not choosing the protocol. As the answers below put it, parameter selection for any given patient remains the provider's clinical judgment.
  • Contact comfort costs energy: the sapphire-cooled 8-18/HR peaks at 130 J/cm² where the air-cooled 3-24/HR reaches 500 J/cm².
  • Intense® mode runs 5–15 seconds a pulse. Deep bulk heating holds the room far longer per treatment than a 20 Hz hair-removal pass, and it is the handpiece whose temperature bar graph has to be watched.

The 1,064 nm lane is the one that keeps widening, though: darker skin types, deep vessels and Intense® bulk heating all sit on this chassis, so the platform reaches more of a practice’s patient list rather than less of it.

Ask before quote

Four questions worth asking us

  • What does the manufacturer say about this platform's current regulatory status for the treatments I intend to bill?
  • What does the base YAG system cost against the configuration with the handpieces I actually need?
  • What do the manufacturer's two-year warranty terms cover, and what does service cost once they end?
  • The Wonderful Eight program combines five handpieces — which five, and are they all in this quote?
The systemFour ZYE handpieces, plus the shared set

Why 1,064 nm is the all-skin-types wavelength

Nd:YAG at 1,064 nm is absorbed less by epidermal melanin than shorter wavelengths and penetrates deeper — the two properties that make it the safer choice on darker skin and the right tool for deep vessels. Because epidermal melanin competes less for 1,064 nm energy, the epidermis is comparatively spared while energy still reaches follicles and deep vessels, which is the reason it is used year-round across skin types.

Deep targets need fluence at large spots, and up to 100 J of output is what allows high fluence to survive the spot sizes used on legs and body. Three pulse regimes come off that one wavelength: DYNAMICS® stacks fast passes to 20 Hz; LongPulse® delivers single pulses 0.2–300 ms to 3 Hz; Intense® runs continuous wave for sustained bulk heating — three different tissue effects from one wavelength. Four fiber-guided handpieces are exclusive to the ZYE YAG chassis; the eight Etherea-MX handpieces are fully compatible on top.

The published and documented record

Sources are the manufacturer's product literature, clinical casebook and published practitioner commentary, reproduced here so you can evaluate the platform before you buy.

Every row states its source, what that source says, and what it does not establish.
SourceWhat it saysWhat it does not establish
This page's regulatory positionNo FDA clearance is claimed on this page for the ZYE YAG. Treatments listed describe how licensed providers use the platform, not cleared indications. Verify current regulatory status with the manufacturer before purchase.Claiming no clearance is not the same as establishing that none exists. This page states nothing about the platform's current US regulatory status in either direction — only the manufacturer can, and you should ask before you buy.
Wavelength selection on darker skin1,064 nm is the wavelength most often selected for darker Fitzpatrick types because epidermal melanin absorbs it less than shorter wavelengths, and the platform adds contact cooling and real-time temperature monitoring on the 5-15/LT® handpiece.A wavelength is not a protocol and not a safety guarantee. Parameter selection for any given patient remains the provider's clinical judgment, and nothing here is a cleared indication for any skin type.
Vydence clinical casebookA published casebook records treatment parameters (wavelength, spot, fluence, pulse width, session count) contributed by named physicians including Valeria Campos MD, Alexandre Filippo MD, Guilherme Bueno MD and Juliana Dantas MD.A casebook is documented practice, not a controlled trial. It reports the parameters clinicians used, not comparative efficacy, and nothing in it is identified here as a ZYE YAG result.
International KOL commentaryNeil Sadick MD, Maurice Adatto MD, Hugues Cartier MD, Christine Dierickx MD and Stephen Eubanks MD have published commentary on the platform, with the ProDeep® 1,340 nm handpiece repeatedly singled out as the differentiator.Practitioner commentary is expert opinion. It is not a clinical endpoint, and it is not evidence of a cleared indication for this or any platform.
Installed baseThe manufacturer reports more than 3,000 platforms placed across 30+ countries, with a two-year comprehensive warranty.Placement volume is a commercial figure, not a safety or efficacy one, and this page does not break the number down by platform. Warranty terms are current at the date of the quote.

Treatments listed describe how licensed providers use the platform, not cleared indications. Nothing here claims a result for any patient. What it does give you is that same position stated for this chassis on its own terms, so nothing established for the ALX has to be assumed to carry across to here.

OwnershipWhat the quote covers

Capital equipment is a relationship, not a transaction

A laser that sits idle loses money. The support around the device is what turns capital into revenue — handled by the same team that sources your pharmacy and biologics.

the console is the easy part. The onboarding is what keeps it off the wall.

Price and financing
Platforms like this do not carry a sticker price. Configuration, applicators, training and term all move the number, so the question that actually matters is the monthly. Most device financing here lands near $2,500 per month, pending configuration, credit approval, rates and terms. Tell us which treatments you want on the menu and we work the number back from the revenue they carry. Weighing the options? Read Buy vs. lease your first laser.
Installation and site prep
Voltage, footprint, and installation handled — full-range 110–220V platforms fit most rooms. Site prep, voltage and footprint checks are handled before delivery.
Clinical training
Hands-on protocols and KOL-backed education so staff are treating confidently from day one.
Warranty and service
Warranty and service terms are set by the manufacturer and vary by platform — the current terms are included in every quote. Every ZYE quote includes the manufacturer's two-year warranty terms alongside the purchase, lease and rental paths. Eventide remains your single point of contact after installation.
Upgrade path
Start with a base platform and add handpieces or modules as the practice expands, instead of buying a second console.
Who it is sold to
This is a business-to-business page. ZYE YAG is sold to licensed medical providers and the practices they operate, not to consumers, and nothing here is directed at patients. We support clinics in all 50 US states.

Is financing available for the ZYE YAG?

Yes. Leasing and financing are structured to your practice so the platform pays for itself as it books. Every quote includes transparent pricing, financing terms, and an ROI view. If you are weighing purchase against a lease, start with our guide, Buy vs. lease your first laser.

Are training and installation included?

Yes. Site prep, voltage, and installation are handled — full-range 110–220V platforms fit most rooms — and clinical onboarding with hands-on protocols and KOL-backed education is included, so staff are treating confidently from day one. One point of contact covers quote, install, and training.

What about warranty and support?

Warranty and service terms are set by the manufacturer and vary by platform — the current terms are included in every quote. Eventide remains your single point of contact after installation, coordinating service and support with the same team that handles your other supply lines.

What is the ZYE YAG's regulatory status?

No FDA clearance is claimed on this page for the ZYE YAG. Treatments listed describe how licensed providers use the platform, not cleared indications. Verify current regulatory status with the manufacturer before purchase.

How much does a ZYE YAG cost?

Configuration drives the number — the YAG system plus the handpieces you add. Every ZYE quote includes the manufacturer's two-year warranty terms alongside the purchase, lease and rental paths. Most practices ask for the monthly rather than the sticker, and device financing here typically lands near $2,500 per month, pending configuration, credit approval, rates and terms.

Is the ZYE YAG safe for darker skin types?

1,064 nm is the wavelength most often selected for darker Fitzpatrick types because epidermal melanin absorbs it less than shorter wavelengths, and the platform adds contact cooling and real-time temperature monitoring on the 5-15/LT® handpiece. Parameter selection for any given patient remains the provider's clinical judgment.

What is the 5-15/LT handpiece for?

It is the deep bulk-heating handpiece, exclusive to ZYE YAG®. It runs 0.2–1 ms in DYNAMICS® mode or 5–15 seconds in continuous-wave Intense® mode with a real-time temperature bar graph in the handpiece, and providers use it for deep rejuvenation, onychomycosis, rosacea and poikiloderma.

Who distributes ZYE YAG in the United States?

Eventide Aesthetics & Wellness distributes ZYE YAG to licensed providers and practice owners across all 50 US states. ZYE YAG is manufactured by Vydence Medical; Eventide is a distributor, not the manufacturer, and handles the quote, financing, installation, clinical training and ongoing support.
